Basic Information
Located: Cinderella Castle, Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom First Appeared: Kingdom Keepers I: Disney after Dark

Escher's Keep is a fictional maze-type attraction impossible without a guide found in Cinderella Castle. It was said to have been made as an Alice in Wonderland Attraction but Wayne said it didn't open due to Walt Disney wanting to keep it for himself. The truth was that it was too dangerous to open as one wrong move sent you into a chute that could either lead you to the start of The Attraction or into The Castle Moat. It was used by The Keepers to escape any pursuers and to gain access to The Secret Apartment at the top. The maze included mirrors, invisible bridges and fake doors. The maze ended in The Black Hole which was a platform elevator that led to The Apartment. The Escher's Keep could very well be real, because there actually is an apartme took them to The Secret Apartment at the top to tell them the story of The Stonecutter's Quill. The Keepers later used the maze to escape from a pair of Pirates that were searching for them. Luckily, the pirates took the wrong way at one point and landed in the moat.

Kingdom Keepers II: Disney at Dawn[]

In this book, Finn and Philby climbed up Escher's Keep to investigate a weather balloon attached to The Apartment's window. They were chased by a Dapper Dan that knew the route and didn't want them in The Apartment. Finn challenged the man by Crossing-Over and trying to knock him off course at a tiled section of the maze. The man deliberately went for the wrong tile in order to catch Finn straight away as Finn was on the tiles and fell into a chute. Because Finn was Crossed-Over, he just hovered over the gap and walked to the edge. At the end of the maze in The Black Hole, the elevator wasn't there so Finn Crossed Over again and Philby managed to find some Firesteps that led to The Apartment.
